About Botulinum Toxin

Botulinum toxin type A is a purified neurotoxic protein that temporarily relaxes targeted muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles—those formed by repeated facial expressions. By preventing muscle contraction, neurotoxin injections smooth the overlying skin and help restore a youthful, refreshed appearance.

In the United States, the following FDA-approved botulinum toxin brands are used for cosmetic indications:

  • Botox® Cosmetic (onabotulinumtoxinA – Allergan Aesthetics)

  • Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA – Galderma)

  • Xeomin® (incobotulinumtoxinA – Merz Aesthetics)

  • Jeuveau® (prabotulinumtoxinA – Evolus)

  • Daxxify® (daxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm – Revance Therapeutics)

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion in Neurotoxin Injectables Training in the areas: Frontalis / Glabella / Orbicularis Oculi from La Vida Laser & Aesthetics Institute.
