Our laser hair removal certification course L1 is Hybrid. Once enrolled students have immediate access to the online lectures & assessments via your La Vida student learning portal on our website (at your own pace that must be completed before your part in-person). The in person training date (selected above) is approximately 8 hours long with a 1 hour break.

Course Hours: 40 hrs. total (31 hrs. (6 chapter/ practice quizzes) self-paced online lecture with chapter skills assessments / 9 hrs.  (1 day)  in-person hands-on practice) Once you have completed online enrollment please go directly to your student portal via our website by navigating to “my account” to begin the online portion of your course.  All online learning materials should be completed prior to your in-person training date selected when enrolling. Rescheduling of in person training date may incur additional fees. * You can set a password under account settings. Students will have access to the learning portal for 12 months.

COURSE INFORMATION:
Laser Hair Removal (LHR) is a medical cosmetic procedure that uses a laser to destroy hair follicles significantly reducing hair growth. This procedure delays hair growth for long periods of time and normally requires several treatments until almost all hair follicles are destroyed. Laser Hair Removal is safe and very effective for all skin types when treated by professionally trained and licensed technicians and FDA-approved devices.

This Laser Hair Removal certification course is approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. By enrolling in our program, you will learn everything you need to know to perform safe and effective laser hair removal treatments as a Certified Laser Hair Removal Technician- Apprentice-In-Training in the state of Texas.

This Hybrid Course is a blended self-paced online and in-person practice certification course that provides didactic lectures and hands-on practice of Laser Hair Removal procedures. As soon as the student has enrolled the student will have full access to the online portion; the study materials and quizzes which will prepare the student for the exam administered finalizing the hands-on portion the day of class. Scheduled dates for the in-person class sessions are found above.

An Apprentice-In-Training laser hair removal certification from La Vida Laser & Aesthetics Institute will be awarded at the completion of the course as well as certificates for Laser Safety Officer (LSO), Blood Born Pathogens, and CPR& AED.

Laser Hair Removal is a medical level treatment and requires physician supervision or medical director.

After completing this course, you will receive a certification as a Laser Hair Removal Technician -Apprenticed to submit electronically to the state and apply for your apprenticeship license, this license does not yet allow you to perform laser treatments on your own, only with direct supervision from a licensed Senior or Professional LHR technician. Once you receive your apprenticeship license from the state you will be able to move forward and elevate to the second level, 100-treatment practice.

Admission Requirements:

1. The minimum age for admissions is at least 18 years at the date of enrollment.
2. Students must have attained a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3. Proficiency in English and/or Spanish for Spanish-instructed courses.

By enrolling in any course offered by La Vida Laser & Aesthetics Institute, students agree to the following terms regarding tuition refunds:

General Refund Policy for Hybrid Courses

• Refunds for hybrid courses are calculated based on the total number of course hours (both online and in-person). Once login credentials are issued, the course is considered active, and refunds are based on the full duration of the course. Online hours are counted in full, regardless of the time a student actively spends logged in.
• No refunds will be issued once a course has been fully completed.
• All materials, supplies, equipment, or additional purchases made as part of the course are non-refundable.
• Non-attendance or cancellation of any course prior to logging any clock hours (including online access) will result in a forfeiture of a $100 processing fee per course.
• The effective date of termination, for refund calculation purposes, will be the earliest of the following:
  a) The date written notice is received from the student via email, or
  b) The date the student ceases participation in the course.

Refund Policy for Bundled Course Packages

• Bundled courses are offered at a discounted rate and must be paid in full at the time of enrollment to qualify for the discount.
• If a student chooses to withdraw from a bundled package before completing all courses included in the bundle, the discount will be voided.
• Any refund requested under these circumstances will be prorated based on the current full tuition rates of each individual course completed, not the discounted bundle rate.
• The remaining balance, after recalculating completed courses at full price, will be eligible for refund in accordance with the general refund policy above.
