Course Hours: HYBRID: 6 hrs. total (4 hrs. self-paced online lecture with chapter skills assessments / 2 hrs. in-person hands-on practice)

Online: After enrollment stay on our website and navigate to “my account” to begin the online portion of the course that must be completed prior to the in-person training date selected above.

In person: Students will physically attend class where instructor will review online theory and prepare students for training on live models. Certificates will be received at the end of the training date.  

COURSE INFORMATION:

An IPL photofacial is a non-invasive treatment that uses broad-spectrum light energy to target pigmented lesions, vascular irregularities, and uneven skin tone. Unlike laser therapy that uses a single wavelength, IPL emits multiple wavelengths, allowing it to treat various skin concerns simultaneously. IPL is suitable for Fitzpatrick 1-3.

This focused IPL Photofacial Certification Course is ideal for students looking to specialize in light-based skin treatments that improve tone, texture, and visible sun damage. Although taught as part of our 3D Skin Rejuvenation Training, this course can be taken as a stand-alone certification. IPL students will join the same in-person training day as the full 3D course, but their portion of training will conclude after completing hands-on practice with the IPL treatment.

Laser license is not required to take the course but is highly recommended, especially for practitioners planning to operate devices independently. IPL is considered a medical-level treatment.

Admission Requirements:

1. The minimum age for admissions is at least 18 years at the date of application.
2. Students must have attained a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
3. Proficiency in English and/or Spanish for Spanish-instructed courses.
4. Must be at least L1 Laser Licensed or have knowledge of laser physics.

By enrolling in any course offered by La Vida Laser & Aesthetics Institute, students agree to the following terms regarding tuition refunds:

General Refund Policy for Hybrid Courses

• Refunds for hybrid courses are calculated based on the total number of course hours (both online and in-person). Once login credentials are issued, the course is considered active, and refunds are based on the full duration of the course. Online hours are counted in full, regardless of the time a student actively spends logged in.
• No refunds will be issued once a course has been fully completed.
• All materials, supplies, equipment, or additional purchases made as part of the course are non-refundable.
• Non-attendance or cancellation of any course prior to logging any clock hours (including online access) will result in a forfeiture of a $100 processing fee per course.
• The effective date of termination, for refund calculation purposes, will be the earliest of the following:
  a) The date written notice is received from the student via email, or
  b) The date the student ceases participation in the course.
